ROCKER BEATER LOOM #22:THE AUCTION LOOM FROM SALEM INDIANA

At Left: Wide view of front of loom. Shedding system is missing except for a single roller bar hanging from the mid-loom suport system. Note remains of built-in weavers bench.

At Right: Detailed view of hole-in-peg rocker. Rocker rests on block attached to loom frame with a carriage bolt, block can be adjusted forward and backward.

No background information is available on this loom, other than it came in pieces from an auction in Salem, Indiana. It was pale grayish white color when purchased (appeared to have been out in the weather). Tung oil was rubbed on much of it as it was restored, repaired, and assembled, giving it the dark walnut color.
