When this loom was donated to the museum it was missing the mid-loom uprights and the entire shedding system. Local weaver/loom collector, Ann Fife, volunteered to restore the loom and is now giving weaving demonstrations on it at the Sutton Homestead & Pioneer Village. At this point little is known about the background of the loom, other than it was located by the donor in a barn on a farm previously owned by the Gerald Family of Wilson County, Tennessee. |
